The Fig Tree Markinch is a boutique hotel, bar and restaurant situated in the heart of Fife, in the village of Markinch, the ancient capital of Fife. Just half an hour’s drive to Edinburgh, St Andrews, Perth and Dundee. Situated next to the train station making travelling around easy.

The hotel, a category C listed villa was built in the early 19th century. Lovingly restored by a previous owner, we are continuing to care for the building, the team and our guests.

At The Fig Tree, we combine great food, beautiful surroundings and our best Scottish hospitality to create a wonderful experience for our guests, whatever the occasion of your visit. From dining with family and friends, special events, mini-breaks to exclusive use hire, we have the perfect setting for you.

OUR ROOMS

We have 6 uniquely designed bedrooms at The Fig Tree Markinch. All rooms are contained within our

Grade C listed 19th century villa, and each is a blend of chic style and modern comfort. We offer a choice of suites with sitting areas; our signature room, the No 1 suite has a feature bath, ideal for a relaxing getaway. All our rooms have super king size or twin beds.
